The game’s creative classes and skills make for a more fun and engaging experience. Likewise, the Theif’s Red Herring ability lets players trick enemies into believing they are stunned and allows them to deal 700% damage when next attacked. However, you’ll have to fight with your fists for the remainder of the battle. For instance, the Tinkerer’s Hammertime ability lets you through your two-handed weapon to deal 500% damage. Each class offers some intriguing abilities. There are also two dexterity-based classes, Thief and Stalker, as well as two wildcard classes, Vodouist and Tinkerer. Mages are divided into three distinct classes-Pyromancer, Plague Doctor and Necromancer while warriors can choose between the Warrior, Vanguard and Masochist classes. Vendir: Plague of Lies doesn’t stick to the basic warrior, mage and ranger classes RPG fans are familiar with. However, once you progress far enough down a particular class’s path, you’ll be locked into that specialization. You can be a mage with some standard warrior abilities or a ranger with a few spells up your sleeve. Early-level abilities aren’t locked into a specific class, so players can try out a few different types of abilities. For instance, selecting the performer’s background boosts your character’s charisma. The game offers players several backgrounds to choose from, which affects your starting stats. After receiving a letter from your mother, the two of you embark on a dangerous quest to save the kingdom from Elrik and his plague of lies. The game centers around the player character and their sister, Mellia, who together, according to an ancient prophecy, are destined to dethrone the evil King Elrik. From the creators of Vampire’s Fall: Origins, Vendir is an intensely entertaining new role-playing title featuring retro graphics and compelling turn-based battles. I can't wait to see what you have cooking up for next time.Vendir: Plague of Lies: A Stellar Old-School RPGĪn ancient prophecy, a corrupt king and old-school RPG gameplay await you in Vendir: Plague Of Lies. Thank you MKRU for working on this game as much as you have. For years, I had kept this game close to my heart. Seeing and voting on new contracts, waiting each Sunday for the news drop, and witnessing how the main story would unfold. It has been an incredible journey watching this game grow. I have completed the game at HR85 with all contracts completed and all skills have been acquired (even the secret one with the 13 super boss rematches). Maybe there could be a final decision at the end based on one's quest completion to choose Mila's ending. Hope you would consider this since it would make a fantastic end to a fantastic game! Would've enjoyed seeing if Mila would take up Bianca's offer. However, I wanted to see more. Would've found it interesting to see what many of the characters (main or contract) have been doing lately. Would've loved if we get to see Mila and Lucille reconcile and connect after the game. The ending is fine as it is-the part with the Nocturna members after the boss was a great sendoff for these characters. I have some nits when it comes to the ending which are that there's no choosing of Mila's final fate after defeating the final boss and that it was too short. The design was great, and it had a unique mechanic to defeating it. It was funny that a certain character showed up in the end for an assist when I had no problem draining the boss with bombga. The final boss was as climactic as it should be, given everything that has set up. I enjoyed how a certain contract character made an appearance. The stuff that surrounds Mila's mother, Ashe, Lucille had great reveals. The boss encounters before the last had a lot of narrative threads set up in the previous chapters pay off in a satisfying way. The feeling of adventuring through the varied and intricate landscapes that you've created was amazing. When I reached the penultimate area of chapter 5 and the music kicked in, I was hyped. Really gave me a lot of Castlevania vibes. Have to say, amazing work with the second half of chapter 5. Finally reached the end of the main story.
